Facebook is adding meta-data (info about links and locations) to all links appearing in the News Feed, so we need to make sure the infrastructure of our pages are in line with the new criteria.
In its ongoing quest to curtain clickbait and ‘fake news’, Facebook will display page information in the form of meta-titles, meta-descriptions and a list of the images appearing on the site.
How will this affect you? Well, most importantly, this will eliminate the ability to customise links – so developers need to ensure the website and blog links posted to social are up to scratch to meet meta standards.
